problem = observe()product = test(build(problem))launch(product, honestly=True)A responsible, evidence-first product course where students research users, direct AI coding tools, test a working digital product, and plan a credible first launch.
By the end
Students leave able to do the work, not just describe it.
- Research a specific problem with real users
- Define a focused value proposition and minimum viable product
- Direct a coding agent with context, constraints, and acceptance criteria
- Test, improve, position, and demonstrate a working product
Six-week curriculum
Two focused classes. One clear milestone each week.
Every class follows a deliberate rhythm: explain the concept, trace an example, demonstrate it, practice together, then apply it with support.
- Week 01
Problems and people
Observe repeated problems and learn from real behavior instead of guessing what users want.
- Products begin with problems
- User interviews and evidence
- Week 02
Select and define the product
Turn research into a precise opportunity, compare solutions, and choose a focused direction.
- From research to a product opportunity
- Brainstorming and choosing a solution
- Week 03
Scope, design, and responsible AI
Reduce the idea to one useful workflow and prepare clear instructions for an AI coding agent.
- The smallest useful product
- Directing AI and preparing the build
- Week 04
Integration and reliability
Build the first working vertical slice, validate its data, reproduce bugs, and verify fixes.
- First working vertical slice
- Data, validation, debugging, and reliability
- Week 05
Users, iteration, and sustainability
Watch real people use the product, prioritize evidence, and plan how it can keep running.
- Usability testing with real people
- Evidence-based iteration and basic business model
- Week 06
Launch and student choice
Position the product truthfully, identify first users, run final tests, and demonstrate the result.
- Positioning, marketing, and capstone design
- Final testing, product demonstration, and review
Course format
Ready for a supported, live classroom.
